About the Team
The Kenyon-Wanamingo robotics team is a hands-on sport that is meant to be a fun and exciting learning experience for educating students on team work and STEM skills. All of our robots have been put together on site by the teams, our metal hand cut and welded by students, and a 3D printer used to create other useful pieces from designs made by our team!
The team consists of Junior Varsity and Varsity members, 8th-12th graders, all of whom work hard through out the season. Current Members, Alumni, and Volunteers can be found by clicking the button below.
We are in our 14th season
CHALLENGE: Reefscape
What Is Robotics?
What do we mean by “build a robot”? Just what it says! The competition is different every year, and each time you are given a challenge released in January. These challenges involve different tasks your team must decide how to carry out, successfully carrying out each one rewarding the team points during competition. Some tasks from past years have included picking up blocks, shooting balls, climbing up platforms, and even having your robot hang off ground! It is up to the team to design, build, and program a robot which they can drive around and complete these tasks with.
How Can You Help?
Sponsorships and other such donations are a vital part of Robotics. Money our team receives goes towards Event Registration, purchasing tools, materials, and electronics, and expanding the team. Sponsorships make it possible to continue providing this extra STEM education within the community.
Anything that you can give helps, those who donate or sponsor will be featured on our site, competition banner, and robot. Continued thanks to all who help provide funding to any of the FIRST Robotics Teams!
